Hello,
An athlete who succeeds in everything during training is reassuring. It's also the best way to be mistaken, and I've fallen into the trap dozens of times.
The performance of the day says almost nothing about what has been learned. It can improve thanks to your presence, a simplified context, or an instruction that holds the movement.
What proves learning is two things.
Retention, what remains a few days later without having repeated. And transfer, what adapts in a situation you haven't trained for.
A movement specific to the session that evaporates elsewhere has not been learned. It was borrowed from you.
There is even a case that deceives everyone. The performance that decreases while learning is being built. The body reorganizes, the movement degrades for a while, then it emerges stronger. If you interrupt this phase because "it's regressing," you kill the learning just before it completes.
What this changes concretely: stop validating an intervention based on the day's session. Re-test at the beginning of the next session, two days later. It is there, when cold, that you see what has really held. The rest is just decoration.
This framework, we provide it. Motor learning is the foundation, and we share it entirely because it already changes everything.
Our real field begins when we want to know why it didn't hold, and where the body misinterpreted.
This is the heart of the RNP, Neuro-Postural Reprogramming, and we open the door for you with the introduction to RNP, offered.
What holds when you're no longer there, that's learning.
