What if the secret of your body lies not in muscle but in what you feel? Dive into the dance between perception and action, discover proprioception, your invisible map.
We have been taught that movement comes from muscle. That it’s enough to strengthen, repeat, and correct.
But what if the problem isn’t what you do… but what you feel?
You correct postures. You give instructions. But your athlete compensates. Again. Always.
What if their problem is that they no longer have a map? That they no longer feel where they are?
The sensorimotor loop is the dance between perception and action. A constant back and forth between what you sense and what you do.
And at the heart of this loop is proprioception.
Proprioception is that invisible map that allows you to move without thinking.
Without it, every movement is a riddle. Every imbalance a danger. Every gesture a lottery.
When proprioception is faulty, the brain clings to vision.
But vision is slow. And external.
It doesn’t tell you how you move. It only tells you what you think you’re doing.
Result? You avoid instability. You freeze joints. You over-recruit muscles that didn’t ask for it.
Do you want your athlete to progress?
Don’t give them more load. Give them more inner clarity.
Test their sensors. Work on the sensors intelligently. Move in rotation. Contract. Stretch.
And above all… do it precisely for the person.
Do you think performance is about running fast? Jumping high? Lifting heavy?
No.
Performance is about feeling in real time. It’s orienting without thinking. It’s having a more precise map of the body than any GPS.
It’s proprioception.
If you’re here, it means you already know that something is missing.
That "je ne sais quoi" you’ve always felt. You just put a name on it.
So now, the real question is:
Are you going to keep training bodies without reconnecting them?
Or do you want to… close the loop?
