Discover the three upcoming conferences on proprioception and sensorimotor assessment, enriched with concrete experiences and new training approaches.
Hello and welcome to this new quarter-hour lab. Today, we are all here together to announce three major events happening in the next 10 days. We will explain what we have planned for you.
On September 14 at 9 PM, we will be organizing a free online conference. You just need to register via the link in the description. This conference will focus on a topic that is close to our hearts: assessment. We will share our journey in creating this assessment within the RNP.
We started working on assessment in 2010, integrating FMS tests, which are quality of movement tests. In 2012, I expanded our approaches by incorporating posturology tests, studying elements like alignment and foot positioning. Over the years, we have developed a comprehensive assessment that takes into account the sensorimotor loop and neuromechanics.
Our goal is to show you how calibrating sensory information can optimize movement. We want to share our experience and introduce you to this 2.0 assessment that takes this essential dimension into account.
A week later, on September 21 at 9 PM, Sébastien will host a second conference focused on proprioception. He will share his journey, research, and thoughts on training and proprioception.
Having followed a traditional curriculum in STAPS, I often applied the advice received without questioning its effectiveness. However, in the field, I observed varied results. This conference will aim to deconstruct some preconceived notions and explore how to combine functional neurology and training for optimal outcomes.
We will share our experiences to help you avoid making the same mistakes we did. Proprioception is often misunderstood in the training world, and our goal is to provide you with keys for a more effective approach.
Finally, on Wednesday, September 24, Adrien will present a webinar. We will address common issues in training and how understanding primitive reflexes can enhance our practices.
We will delve into what primitive reflexes really are and why it is crucial to understand their functioning before integrating them into training. Only by combining knowledge of neurology and biomechanics can we hope to improve our results.
These three conferences are a unique opportunity to learn new tools and methods to optimize your practice. Whether you are a sports professional or simply interested in these topics, we encourage you to register.
We look forward to seeing you at these events. Feel free to check the links in the description to register and join our community. Thank you for listening, and see you soon!
