Discover how to transform your training perspective with innovative methods during our foundation courses.
Hello everyone! Welcome to this new episode of 1/4h LabO. Today, we have a bit of a special podcast because I'm joined by Gael. This weekend, we will be giving a new foundation course in Grenoble. We have already been to Biarritz, and next week we will be in Lausanne, followed by a masterclass in Nice and a workshop in Strasbourg. Spots are becoming scarce for the end of the year, so stay tuned!
Gael, as the head of course development, will give us an overview of the schedule ahead. Tomorrow, we will kick off the day with a presentation of the Laab RNP system and how it can help physiotherapists, strength coaches, trainers, and coaches.
We will cover the basics of neurology and theory, aiming to master a comprehensive assessment in under 10 minutes. This will allow us to evaluate the nervous system and primitive reflexes and learn to choose the right exercises for immediate results that can be applied the very next day.
It’s interesting to discuss the gaps we have observed in the individuals we train. For example, conventional tests like FMS or GMC are often misinterpreted or poorly executed. They sometimes overlook basic concepts of biomechanics.
A classic example is the overhead squat test, which is used to assess movement. However, without the ability to correct observed errors, this test loses its usefulness. We want to reverse this trend by allowing practitioners to spend less time on tests and more on corrections.
It is essential that the assessment provides clear perspectives to address the issues faced by athletes or patients. Too often, assessments are done, but the results are not utilized. We want each evaluation to lead to concrete actions in the field.
It is crucial to focus on the individual and their goals rather than multiplying tests. An individual-centered approach allows for better-targeted interventions and optimizes results.
At Laab, we have a more comprehensive vision. We use range screenings, but complement them with assessments of strength, stability, and balance. This allows us to have a more relevant overall view.
We believe that mobility restrictions are not always tissue-related. Sometimes, they are simply due to a nervous system inhibition. Therefore, it is necessary to work on both aspects in parallel to maximize mobility.
Ultimately, it’s about making choices. What do you want to offer your clients? With our method, you can achieve results quickly and effectively. Participants in previous workshops have all reported immediate results with their patients.
In conclusion, our goal is to provide field professionals with the necessary tools to help their clients effectively. We have established an assessment system that can be applied the day after training.
Feel free to check our website for upcoming dates and let us know if you would like to host the training in your city. Thank you all and see you soon!
