Discover how RNP influences mental preparation and neuro-cognitive training with Anthony Antho, a mental coach passionate about neuroscience.
Today, we are pleased to welcome Anthony Antho, a mental coach and student at Labo RNP. Anthony shares his journey and the integration of neuroscience into his athletic practice.
Originally from Bordeaux, Anthony has always been passionate about mental preparation. After obtaining his degree, he felt a gap in his training, particularly regarding neuroscience. This gap drove him to explore this complex field further.
In his quest to understand neuroscience, Anthony encountered many challenges. Books on the subject were often too technical. He decided to focus on more accessible approaches to better integrate this knowledge into his training.
Mental preparation is a genuine profession, even though it is not yet regulated in France. Anthony explains that there are several specialties in this field, such as NLP, hypnosis, and personal development. For him, mental preparation aims to balance well-being and performance, not just for athletes, but for everyone.
An essential aspect of Anthony's approach is cognitive training. This involves developing cognitive abilities through structured methods, utilizing both technological tools and methodological principles.
Anthony begins with a comprehensive assessment, including psychological and cognitive evaluations. This allows him to design training programs tailored to the specific needs of each athlete.
Anthony emphasizes that it is crucial to dedicate a minimum amount of time to each cognitive training session, ideally 20 minutes, to achieve significant results. This contrasts with common practices that may limit themselves to overly short exercises.
In his practice, Anthony has noted the importance of working on archaic reflexes and sensory integration. This allows him to have a more comprehensive view of athletes' performances.
By combining reflex tests and other cognitive evaluations, Anthony can better understand the challenges faced by his athletes and adjust his methods accordingly.
Anthony concludes by highlighting the importance of continuous learning and the integration of new knowledge. RNP has enabled him to develop a more complementary approach and open new doors in his work. Through his experience, he encourages other mental coaches to explore neuroscience to enrich their practice.
