Discover the sources and training that have shaped our expertise in functional neurology and sports coaching in this captivating episode.
Hello everyone and welcome to a new episode of the Carer Neuro podcast. Today, we will give you an overview of the sources we rely on in our practice. This topic is fascinating because it clearly defines the reason for our laboratory, the RNP.
Recently, we shared a resource guide highlighting all the books that have influenced our journey. However, we often receive questions: have we read everything? Indeed, there are works in German, Russian, and English, but that's not all. Knowledge is not limited to books.
In addition to books, there are many training programs available. Personally, I started my learning journey during my university studies, where I had the opportunity to train athletes, especially in football. This allowed me to apply the theoretical knowledge I had acquired.
As I progressed in my training, I noticed gaps in practical applications on the field. This drove me to seek private certifications to address the issues I encountered.
For my part, I have taken several courses at Corver, which allowed me to delve into motor learning and neuroscience. The first training was in 2012, and it opened my eyes to new learning methodologies in sports.
I also explored posturology, motivated by personal issues related to back pain and learning questions. This led me to seek solutions within the nervous system and discover posturology, a field still too little known.
Adrien, for his part, has a different background. Coming from a community background, he started with a degree in commerce before joining the gendarmerie. He quickly found himself managing boxers without any skills in physical preparation.
Adrien had to self-train by reading many books and experimenting in the field. His approach allowed him to discover essential training programs, particularly in posturology and functional neurology, which have profoundly influenced his practice.
We all agreed that it's challenging to create a list of the best training programs. Each experience prepares us for the next. For example, the training in posturology that I attended was fundamental, as were those in functional neurology and primitive reflexes.
It's important to train with pioneers in each field. Primitive reflexes, for instance, are approached through three main currents: Blomberg, Masgutova, and Saligodar. Training with them allows for a deep understanding of these concepts.
Finally, what stands out from our discussion is that there is no single training that can provide us with all the knowledge. It is a continuous journey, enriched by reading, exchanges, and experimentation in the field. At RNP, our approach is constantly evolving, and we look forward to sharing our discoveries with you.
