Discover the secrets of coaches with Julien Vecchione, a coach and creator of the "Coach Secrets" podcast. A rich exchange of insights on coaching and pedagogy.
Today on C Euro, we will explore the main points emerging from the podcasts on coach secrets. We are pleased to welcome Julien Vecchione, the mind behind the "Coach Secrets" podcast. Hello Julien, how are you?
I am a judo coach and physical trainer in France. After working with the French Youth Team in Marseille, I decided to leave the federal environment due to frustrations related to the federal politics. I then created my own structure, the Athletic Club, which gradually shifted towards coaching.
In 2022, I sold my structure and launched "Coach Secrets" on July 26, 2023. This project was born from the observation that many coaches feel isolated and struggle to further their training. I wanted to create a space where they can exchange and gain new knowledge.
The aim of "Coach Secrets" is to give a voice to those who don’t have one. Instead of always interviewing well-known figures, I prefer to highlight coaches who have real expertise to share, often overlooked by the media.
We allow our guests to express themselves freely, enabling them to discuss topics they are passionate about, which makes the exchanges very authentic.
One of the most striking aspects of my exchanges with coaches is the importance of human qualities. Technique is essential, but it is the human connection that often makes the difference. A coach who knows how to communicate and build relationships with their athletes will achieve much better results.
It is essential to engage in continuous training. Whether it's becoming an expert in a specific area or having a general understanding of several disciplines, ongoing education is crucial for evolving as a coach.
In the coming months, we have several exciting projects. We will launch a social network dedicated to sports educators and organize training sessions on coaching children and teenagers.
We also plan to create a subscription system with rich and varied content. The idea is to provide practical knowledge in the field of coaching, integrating perspectives from other sports disciplines.
Thank you Julien for this enriching exchange. If our listeners have questions or guest suggestions, they can easily reach out to you. The community of sports educators needs voices like yours to continue learning and progressing.
